Have you ever seen a newborn baby? An infant in a crib, who knows only how to cry when he / she is hungry; he / she is unaware of the world's happening. Babies do not know anything. They are made to learn by their parents, teachers and a few things they learn by themselves.
Infancy is considered as the best stage of life, where they get everything and anything they want just by a small cry. Every child enjoys it. Who does not love to get what they want in life. But, soon life starts changing and alterations take place, when they begin to grow and sees the true world, where everything is not easy as it appears to be. Here is more struggle and ups and downs at every stage.
When a child is sent to school, he learns to study, make friends and play games. They learn to share with others in the school. It is a completely new world for him / her. At home the child is different, where parents allow him / her the things he / she wants though they restricts a few. The child starts thinking then. The school life becomes completely separate and a new world, different from home. Now, he / she lives in two different worlds. It becomes complex for them. With passing years they develop a whole new thinking between home and school.
It is said that God can not be everywhere, so he created mothers. Our mothers take care of everything we need or think. But after a certain age, we learn from them and do the things on our own. The other important helping hand in learning is the teacher. The value of a teacher is more than any other treasure in the world. In the two worlds – home and school – the child is confused as to what is right and wrong. They are taught not to tell lies, but we lie on their face promising them to give toys or gifts. We promise to be back home on time, but often come late. What we do, affects the children's mind; but most of today's parents have forgotten that.
The following points should be borne in the minds of elders and parents while at home:
o Never say what you can not do
o Do not use abusive language in front of children.
o Be firm and polite while talking.
o Keep tension out of the door.
Remember, it is always important that you nurture only what is good in the minds of growing children, so that they can learn the good things and become good as well. But, if you keep getting involved in wrong things and do evil, your child will also become one of those. What children see, they do. They imitate their elders. It is important that we put good things in the minds of children from early years. So, take care.
