A computer is really a system of many parts working together. There are external add ons like printers, laser printers, large format printers or let's say all in one printers and other external devices you can attach to your computer system. All of the printers, scanners and other external device that you can connect to your PC are designed to work like a system of parts outside the computer. For the inside of your computer, the physical parts, which you can see and touch, are collectively called hardware. We are all familiar with what a computer is in a specific, contemporary sense. Today, when someone says PC, chances are they mean a machine running on the Microsoft Windows operating system with an x86-compatible microprocessor. While Apple Macintosh computers are technically personal computers, most people would not call them PCs. Personal computers are found in most aspects of daily life, and for some it is hard to even imagine a world without them. But the term computer means more than simply the Macs and PC's we are familiar with. A computer is, at its most basic, a machine which can take instructions, and perform computations based on those instructions. It is the ability to take instructions, often known as programs in the parlance of computers and execute them that defines a computer from a mechanical calculator.
Some of the computer parts and its functions are as follows: CPU, mother board, RAM, Hard disk, monitor, key board and mouse.
CPU is like the subconscious of the human brain. This is responsible of doing everything a human does subconsciously such as breathing, seeing, digesting, hearing, etc. So this does everything to make the computer operate. While the RAM and Hard disk is similar to the brain's conscious memory. The memories and thoughts that we have that we cherish everyday. Since a human brain is superior and can do both subconscious and conscious thing, the computer is not. So it has two brains. So both of these stores everything you feed to the computer so it can remember them. The motherboard the functions like our nervous system; our brain is useless without a nervous system to connect our limbs, hands, eyes, feet together. So does a motherboard, it links each and every component to the CPU or the brain. The monitor, keyboard, mouse are the eyes, mouth and hands. We interact with people using our eyes, mouth (speech), hands (action). The monitor, speaker, keyboard and mouse are the computer's way to interact with humans.
But those are not the only parts of the computer, since the printer, scanner, projectors, memory cards or flash drive are now considered as parts of the computer. Each part has there own function to make the work much easier. However, since this is the new age, the inventors invented a 3 in 1 function of a single machine. For example, there are the 3 in 1 printer, scanner and Xerox copier combined in one machine.
Today, we can easily acquire our own set of Personal Computer together with their parts since there are lots of stores selling computers. In fact, we can also acquire PCs, Laptops, Notebooks, Printers, Scanners, and any other parts with different brands on the internet. Lots of internet sites offer help with regards on how you are going to choose the right PC that will suite your lifestyle and your budget.
But you must remember that a computer will not function properly without its parts working correctly. So you should check every part and make sure that they have their proper maintenance. Remember, when we say parts, it is not just the hardware but software is also included.
